Tie Sleeve Sweater
Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope you’re all having a wonderful week. I was able to get away this past weekend for a quick trip to my cabin in Twain Harte. Does anyone know it? I loved the mountain air and cooler (aka sweater weather) temps.
We drove down to Sonora for the day on Saturday and spent the afternoon antique shopping and watching little kids in Halloween costumes at the local festival, which was adorable and kind of hilarious. These photos were taken right before we browsed an estate sale and then headed back to the cabin to build a fire and watch a movie—all in all, my kind of fall Saturday evening!
I loved being able to cozy up in my sweaters all weekend and this ASTR tie-sleeve style from Nordstrom is right on trend. You might remember my try-on in the grey and I couldn't resist the tan for a classic look for the season. I kept my neutrals tonal by topping with this suede moto jacket and added my favorite Madewell Transport Bag for an easy on-the-go day.
If you guys haven't already noticed—I LOVE this little leather bag. It comes in a few colors (like cabernet, blush and black) but I thought the cognac or "English Saddle" would be the most classic and versatile. Though, I really think all of the colors will go with everything.
I've always loved the larger tote versions of this bag yet never pulled the trigger because big bags just aren't my thing. If you prefer more of a hands-free style like me, I think you'll love this little one. The size is perfect for holding your essentials (phone, wallet, keys, snack for me, etc) and I love how you can still hold it like a little tote or wear it draped over your shoulder. I honestly get so frustrated when I can't let a bag hang on my shoulder—anyone else??
I did notice this bag scratches easily, so I definitely recommend adding a leather protectant which I still need to do (#procrastinator) but all-in-all, I still highly recommend it as your timeless staple style.
Thanks for reading and enjoy your week!
xx, Tyler
