Chenille Sweater Weather
Happy Wednesday, friends! We're halfway through the work week and I couldn't be more excited. We've had some slightly cooler weather here lately and while I've never been one to wish away warm weather, I'm really loving the sweater weather vibes.
One of my absolute favorite sweater trends for the season has to be chenille. I love the velvety vibe and how the style really seems to easily make an outfit. I recently grabbed my first new style for the season and it's this BP. Chenille Funnel Neck Sweater from Nordstrom.
This sweater also comes in a charcoal gray and ash pink but I loved the warm tone of this "brown bronze" color. It screams fall and just has a really rich look when paired with your favorite denim, plus I think will be great for the holidays. It has a slightly oversized feel mainly under the arms but I happen to love the silhouette and it still feels shapely and flattering. The funnel neck is also really effortless.
I wore mine with a lighter wash for a more casual day-date look this past weekend but it pairs really nicely with a dark wash for something a bit more dressed up, as well. Did I mention this Free People denim is only $78? 🙌🏼
I'm still not bringing out my boots just yet but I've been loving swapping out my sandals for close-toed styles like slides and loafers. In my opinion, nude flats are a must (they go with everything and make legs look longer), so I had no qualms about adding a new pair to my collection.
These Halogen Sylvia loafers from Nordstrom are my new favorite. I'm not sure if you can tell from my photos but the heel is actually collapsible meaning you can wear them as full-on loafers or slip-on slides. They are buttery soft and I found they didn't have any break-in period. I think they'll also be perfect for both work and play. They come in a ton of color options, including suede styles for the season and I highly recommend them.
I'm in between sizes and I went with the half size up in these shoes and they fit perfectly. In the sweater, I'm wearing the xs.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!
x, Tyler
