A Transitional Look for Fall
Welcome, fall and fall looks! We had some unusual rain last week and that combined with cooler California mornings had me in sweaters and fall things. đMy early fall wardrobe is a bit like my summer wardrobe (good denim and soft whites) but I love adding quintessential fall things like booties and the perfect wool hat!
These Sole Society Callan slingbacks are the perfect style for these in-between months when youâre craving fall but need to keep your feet (just a little bit) cool. I love how these instantly give the look and feel of fall but feel lighter on the foot. Sometimes it can be tricky to pair booties with jeans and these completely take the guesswork away. They look amazing with any length or style but I really love them with a straight leg silhouette like these Leviâs wedgie jeans. The taupe tone is a wardrobe must (it goes with everything!) but they do also come in black. I can see these being a great option for a fall night out, i.e., when you need something in-between dressy and casual and, of course, comfortable! These are basically a cross between a bootie, a mule and a pump and theyâre perfect. The pointed toe also helps add length! For sizing: Iâm in between sizes and did size UP in this pair.
Iâve been adding fall hats to my collection over the past couple seasons and currently have a couple of colors like tan and dark brown but the perfect taupe tone was missingâuntil now. This one from Sole Society might be a new favorite because itâs structured. The brim is completely solidâNO flopping at all! Which I love. Donât get me wrongâthereâs nothing wrong with a floppy hat but sometimes they just droop and I find they donât look as chic. This one is stiff in a good way!
The hat paired perfectly with this fluffy white sweater (SO soft and also available in crewneck here!) to add a little cozy to this casual look but it would look just as cute with fall dresses or an edgy outfit like all-black. I tossed on this Sole Society black suede backpack I think might just become my work bag because I love having something I can completely zip up to keep all my work items (and computer) clean and dry into the rainy season.
This is definitely one of my go-to outfit combinations for the seasonâswitch up the sweater with other neutrals or even pops of fall color, try black denimâthe options are endless! Did I mention everything (minus the sunglasses) is under $100? đđź
As always, thank you so much for reading and happy fall!
