Levi's Shorts and Comfy Summer to Fall Flats
There’s been lots of talk of fall on Instagram but I’m personally still holding onto summer and these warmer temps. I am, however, slowly adding more fall-ready staples into my closet. My biggest summer shopping trend was not focusing too much on, well, trends. I tried my best to think about how every new addition to my closet would really work in my wardrobe. And not just work for one event, one Instagram post, one outfit…really work beyond those boundaries.
One of my favorite summer shoe staples I’ll 100% be taking into fall: the Everlane Day Glove. I have these in the Caramel color and they are buttery-soft, leather ballet flats that fit like a glove. I gravitate towards nude shoe tones because they not only go with everything but they really elongate the leg. It’s just a flattering look down the leg line. I also usually prefer a pointed toe for this reason but there’s something about this ballet style that just feels just as chic and effortless. FYI, these come in tons of colors and even new suede options.
Everlane says these run true to size but this is always tricky for me because I’m always in between sizes (8 and 8.5). I have a few other Everlane shoes and have always sized UP in them. For reference (if it helps), I wear a size 8 in Nike and a size 8.5 in Madewell. I had the tiniest bit of a break-in period with these and my left foot was left with a blister. But this seemed to only last with one wear. They say they mold to your foot for a perfect, custom fit and I think they really do. They’ve just gotten comfier and comfier with wear.
I found myself slipping into these shoes more than sandals this summer for everything from work to casual weekends, which I loved because it meant they were truly doing double, triple duty. I also really love the new Rose Suede and Brick colors, which are terra cotta tones that will be so beautiful into fall. Did I mention these are an incredible price at $115? The quality is amazing and I really appreciate Everlane’s transparent pricing. They just create (ethically sourced) staples that last and I always smile when I get a package with zero plastic and minimal packaging. 👏🏼
Anyway, for a look to finish out summer, I paired them with these Levi’s Wedgie Shorts and Topshop wrap top, which you could just as easily wear with black denim for a fall-ready look.
As always, thank you so much for reading!
