An Easy Way to Wear a Lace Cami
Two things to keep in rotation in your closet no matter the season: lace camisoles and duster cardigans.
A lace camisole is an easy step-up from your basic cotton cami and a silk or satin fabric so easily makes your look feel elevated and effortless. I recently added this white lace cami from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (similar in-stock options linked below) to my collection and it’s a fresh addition to my basic black, navy and olive camisoles. The styling options are endless for a cami in any color, whether worn alone or layered up. I love how it can make a pair of jeans (or even denim shorts) feel instantly dressed-up.
But possibly my favorite pairing (for any season!) is with a cardigan. Not just any cardigan though—a duster cardigan.
My love for duster cardigans runs deep, you guys, and you can truly wear them spring, summer, fall and winter—from first thing waking up in the morning to dog walks to work to weekend to lounging. I think the length on a duster or longline style is much more flattering than a traditional cardigan and that in itself lends to the effortless appeal. Throw one on with a silky cami and you get that casual-chic, oh-so-subtle sex appeal that's still approachable—and most importantly, SO wearable! Not to mention how comfy and cozy they are.
For an easy outfit, try a lace camisole paired with high-rise jeans (these Levi's Wedgie Jeans are so good with the raw hem) and slip into (wait for it) ANY shoe! I've worn this exact outfit with everything from sandals to white sneakers to heels and every combination feels put together without looking like you tried. If you're going for something a bit more dressed up, I highly recommend these Everlane sandals. They're a low block heel (2 inch) and incredibly comfortable. You'll wear these everywhere from date night to vacation to weddings. I’m in between sizes and always size UP in shoes in Everlane.
