Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Purchases
Happy weekend, friends! I wanted to take a moment to share more of my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchases with you. Not everything in this post is from the #nsale but my goal was to show you how you can wear some of your fall-ready pieces now. So I styled them with some summer favorites and basics.
I want to note that I really only bought things that are classic or fill a void in my wardrobe. I didn't buy any boots because I don't need them (thanks, California) but please feel free to reach out if YOU personally are looking for anything specific and I'm happy to help.
BP. Varsity stripe sweater (size xs) - this I LOVE. This is the 'brown cattail kenzie stripe' and the stripe is a bit more blue in person but I love the twist on a classic piece. It's super soft, really flattering and works well both tucked and untucked. I'm wearing a size small. I also love this Brixton straw fedora that the sales lady at Nordstrom so kindly helped me pick out. It's a great style for every season!
Treasure & Bond knit duster (one size fit) - if you don't have a grey duster cardigan in your collection, are you even living?? 😂But seriously, in all honesty, this style is a must. I somehow always feel a bit chicer when I throw one on. They're perfect over anything but I always adore a pairing with white. This one has a slouchy fit but isn't overly roomy to the point where it's unflattering. It has some wool in it, so it has a slight "scratch" but I wouldn't say it's itchy!
The first look is with this $11.90 #nsale BP. raw edge tee (size xs) and the second is with this amazing Everlane slip dress which is NOT a sale item.
Socialite thermal henley top (size small) - This one will be gone quickly but hopefully will come back in stock. This is the oatmeal but it comes in several other colors. It's super soft and I love the fit. I sized up for something slightly more relaxed through the midsection but if you wanted it to be fitted, I'd get your normal size or size down. It's lightweight and perfect for tucking and will be easy to layer through fall and winter.
Leith wrap sweater (size small) - This is easily one of my favorite sale purchases. I'm a big big fan of wrap/faux wrap styles and I adore how so soft and effortless this sweater is. The slouchy fit is flattering and I love that it's lightweight enough to wear now. I already wore this to work and then again with cutoff shorts—so versatile! This also comes in several colors and this is the 'tan etherea heather.' I have my eye on the white, too!
Free People pullover (size xs) - If you buy one thing from this sale, let this be it. Seriously. This is last year's version (the sale version is a v-neck) and it's the most comfortable thing I own. It has an oversized yet flattering fit. If you're in between sizes, I would size down. I bought it in red, another one in ivory and will probably go back for the black!
Halogen cashmere wrap - This is a bit of a splurge but is one of my favorite classic, chic and timeless pieces that makes me feel like I'll wear and use it for years. It's 100% cashmere and also comes in a two-tone gray. It's basically like a big blanket scarf but you can wear it as a wrap, half cardigan or scarf—or even just use it as a blanket! It's beyond soft and worth every penny.
I only snagged two pairs of shoes this season and they are both versatile, effortless and go with everything.
Vince Darlington flat (size 8.5) - I am a huge fan of Vince flats. I have a couple pairs that I've also purchased on sale and the quality, fit and wearability is amazing. These come in several colors but I can never resist a nude. I am in between an 8 and 8.5 and sized UP!
Madewell Devon mule (size 8.5) - I love the heel height on these (just 2") and the comfort level is insane. Again, I'm in between sizes and the half size up (8.5) fits great.
