White Ruffle Midi Dress

Every girl needs a little white dress to pull out of her closet for any occasion. From casual summer days to backyard bbq’s to date night and everything in between, I love to have something that’s easy to grab, easy to dress up or down and you just know it will always look (and feel) great.

This little white ruffle dress from Nordstrom BP is just that. I used to hesitate with midi lengths but now I think they’re the most flattering and effortless silhouette. For when a mini dress feels too "mini" or when a maxi dress feels too casual...a midi is just right. You can easily slip them on with sandals (and even sneakers) or dress them up with wedges and heels. When in doubt or if you're petite, stick to heels. I usually try to keep my footwear nude, light or monochrome (i.e. similar in tone to your dress) for a lengthening look down the leg line. 

Tip! When you’re looking for the perfect midi, it’s generally the right idea to find one that hits at the slimmest part of your calf, usually just above or just below the mid-calf. 

I really adore the feminine touch on this one thanks to the sweet ruffle details. The fitted bodice is super flattering and the open back shows just the right hint of skin. It's light and airy and the fresh white keeps it crisp and clean. You could easily edge this up with a faux leather motorcycle jacket into fall or keep it extra casual with a denim jacket. I'm a big fan of dresses that can do double duty for multiple seasons.

This little number is a steal at just $49 and I recommend sizing UP if you are in between sizes! I'm wearing a small. For reference, I'm 5'6". Also, please ignore my sticky bra sticking out. 🙈
