Trunk Club Women - My First Winter Trunk
Happy holiday weekend, friends! I had my first Trunk Club Trunk delivered this week and so many of you expressed an interest in seeing a roundup of what I received, so I wanted to get a post up here for you to reference and thought I’d start with a few FAQ’s before diving into the pieces.
What is Trunk Club?
Trunk Club is a Nordstrom-owned styling service for men and women. You are paired up with a Stylist and are able to request a Trunk when you need one or setup automatic deliveries—monthly, quarterly, etc.
How does Trunk Club work?
When you sign up, you fill out a Style Profile so your Stylist is able to get an idea of your style and what you’re looking for. You’re able to chat with your Stylist throughout the process and review your Trunk before it ships. You then have 5 days after you receive your Trunk to try everything on, keep what you want and send back what you don’t. You can schedule a pickup for your Trunk or drop your Trunk off at a UPS or Nordstrom location.
Is there a fee?
There is a $25 styling fee which is credited towards any purchase but this fee is waived if you’re a Nordstrom cardholder.
Do you have a referral code?
Unfortunately, I do not have a referral code but you can use my referral link.
Who is your Stylist?
My Trunk Club Stylist is Lauren Wenstrup. and if you use my referral link, you will be paired up with her.
Many of you may know I used to work for Stitch Fix, which is a similar service. I wanted to try Trunk Club because I already shop heavily at Nordstrom and know and love the brands they carry—the same brands I’ll see in my Trunks, while discovering new ones. I’m in the process of really curating a classic wardrobe I can rely on. I’m truly trying to shop LESS. So, I’m requesting wardrobe staples in each Trunk—every two months— while letting a Stylist help get me out of my box just enough.
Madewell Sweater | Levi’s Jeans | March Fisher Booties
My first favorite piece is this Madewell sweater. I asked my Stylist for mock neck styles and she delivered. This one is a great weight and works well both tucked and untucked. It comes in a few colors and I’m wearing an XS. Fit is TTS.
I have it tucked into these Levi’s 501 jeans which you guys know I love. These seem to be a bit stretchier than the light wash, true-denim pair I always wear. I size up to a 26 in those but these fit great in the 25. I also love the raw hem detailing. I thought these were black at first but think they may actually be a really dark, inky blue—FYI.
I also asked my Stylist for everyday booties and these Marc Fisher booties were one of the two pairs she included—I LOVE them! They’re a great low heel for everyday wear but have a pointy toe and just enough edge to dress them up for night, as well. These might run a bit big. I’m normally between an 8 and 8.5. My Stylist sent the 8.5 but I will probably exchange to try the size 8.
Madewell Sweater | Levi’s Jeans | March Fisher Booties
I swapped out the white sweater for this Madewell cashmere mockneck next, which is a thinner material that feels lightweight, yet warm, and is really effortless. It’s slightly cropped but still easy to tuck. I think this golden tone may be sold out but it comes in a few colors and is definitely a cool and classic staple. I’m in an XS.
Twill Blazer | Levi’s Jeans | March Fisher Booties
I’ve been really into blazers lately, which I told my Stylist. She added this twill double breasted blazer and I absolutely adore the fit. It’s a slightly higher price point but the quality is there and I can see this working well for both work and play. I’d probably wear it more casually with light wash jeans and sneakers. I am wearing the size 0.
Madewell Wrap Top | Levi’s Jeans —also available HERE
I’m always looking for tops that I can dress up for dinner or an evening out—especially in these cooler months. I don’t know about you but my long-sleeve, dressy blouse collection is definitely lacking. I love the fall/winter twist on floral this Madewell Wrap Top has. I’m wearing the XXS and I’m normally an XS so I’m this runs slightly big.
I would probably wear this with a faux leather moto jacket for night time or even a cardigan for something more casual for daytime.
Leith Cardigan | Marc Fisher Booties
This Leith cardigan is also a Trunk Club piece and it is beyond soft! This is for sure a keeper and I may have to grab it in a few other colors it comes in—I know it’s currently on sale! It’s so soft and not at all itchy. I’m in the XXS and am 5’6” for reference.
The second pair of booties I received were these Steve Madden Chelsea boots. I honestly thought I might return them—I have so many brown ankle boots that somehow go unworn. But these are SO good and are somehow just what I was missing. I love the height, color, comfort factor—everything. I am always consistently an 8.5 in Steve Madden and these are tts. They’re also an AMAZING price at $99. 95 and come in several colors.
This sweet floral midi dress was included in my Trunk and it’s such a fun, unique and feminine piece. I can see this working in fall and winter with booties and a wool coat, trench coat or moto jacket—or even for a winter wedding! I’m in an XS and I needed a bit of help zipping it, so if you’re in between sizes—size up!
In an effort to get this post up, I didn’t have a chance to share all 12 pieces in my Trunk but figured I’d start with my favorites. So far, I’m so happy with the process and what I received and I definitely plan to continue in the hopes to add some great new pieces to my collection. You can find out more and get your own trunk HERE.
Let me know if you have any questions at all and, as always, thank you for reading!
