I am now fully convinced every woman needs a pair of Spanx in her wardrobe. 💯Faux leather Spanx? 10 times cooler. This is my first pair and I can’t believe it’s taken me so long! I think we all know Spanx are meant to hold things in and, of course, they do just that. But I also love how they’re crazy comfortable and don’t flatten out your, um, other side—ok, your butt—and they’re even center-seam free which means no camel toe. 🙌🏼

Even if you’re not looking for tummy control and all that other fun stuff, a high-quality pair of faux leather/liquid/coated leggings is such a great wardrobe staple. Swap them out for your everyday leggings and they make any outfit look instantly cooler, elevated and edgy. But if edgy style isn’t quite your thing, they still look sleek and chic dressed up with pretty sweaters or blouses and heels this season or you can dress them down with sneakers, as I did here.

You can basically recreate this outfit a thousand times over. I went with a go-to white sweater (this one comes in a few colors and is on sale for $19.97) with this Madewell Surplus jacket tied around the waist, but any color sweater with a denim jacket or chambray shirt works just as well. Since these leggings are so flattering, you can even wear them with shorter tops.

For sizing reference, I’m normally a 25/26 in denim and I’m wearing the size small. I’m also 5’6” and they still have plenty of length but don’t look bad scrunched up a bit at the ankle. They do also come in PETITE! These will look great tucked into boots and booties, too!
