By now it should be no secret that I’m a big fan of Levi’s. I wear a pair of Levi’s jeans almost every single day and if I could only choose one denim brand to wear for the rest of my life—Levi’s would be it, hands down. Which is why I am so beyond excited to partner with Levi’s for this post!
As someone with extremely picky denim needs (high rise, comfortable, nip in at the waist, room for the bum), Levi’s has become my go-to for flattering, effortless fits—that don’t break the bank. They have everything from 100% cotton, true-denim fit and feel to stretchy, skinny, straight and everything in between. And so many of them are under $100. 💯Levi’s are truly the jeans you will reach for, over-wear, live in. 🙌🏼
Most days you’ll find me in skinny jeans but I personally love the relaxed look of straighter, boyfriend styles. What I don’t like about boyfriend jeans? Feeling frumpy. But does anyone?? Enter my dream denim from Levi’s: the 501 and Wedgie Fit.
You’ve seen me in my Levi’s 501 jeans countless times and today I’m wearing these High-Waisted Levi’s Wedgie Fit Jeans. These two styles are pure gold. They’re technically a skinny silhouette (which I love), yet somehow give you that perfectly relaxed, lived-in feel. You know the jeans you can throw on with a tee and also dress up with heels and a blazer and feel just as chic both ways? Yea, these are them. I’m wearing the ‘Higher Love’ wash here but my other favorite is the 501 jeans in ‘Can’t Touch This.’ I am typically in-between sizes (25 & 26) and wear a 26 in both of these. I notice the 100% cotton styles like these do bag out slightly with wear but sizing up (especially if you’re already in between sizes) still works well, otherwise they can be too tight in the thighs and rear. I get asked about Levi’s sizing quite frequently, so I wanted to outline the sizes I wear in my favorite styles below.
My Levi’s Sizing
Levi’s Wedgie: size 26; no stretch
Levi’s 501: size 26; no stretch
Levi’s 721 (99% Cotton): size 25; low stretch
Levi’s 721 (85 - 95% Cotton): size 26; high stretch
Levi’s Mile High Skinny: size 25; low stretch
I love the slightly darker, true-blue wash on these wedgie jeans which will be perfect for the fall season. I paired them with this adorable Levi’s ruffle sleeve top and threw on a shearling lined denim jacket for a little denim on denim action. This is the original sherpa trucker jacket in ‘Extremely Lovable’ and it has a really cool vibe that’s still classic. I can see pairing this with black or colored denim, over an all-black look for an edgy vibe, even over fall dresses. It’s warm but not overly bulky and will be great for layering this season. I’m in an xs but would suggest sizing UP if you plan to wear over sweaters.
