Winter Style with Nordstrom: Black and White with Olive Trench
As a California girl, believe me I know 40 degrees is not "cold" relative to the rest of the country—but you'll still find me layering and cozying up in my favorite winter pieces.
This month I'm sharing my favorite winter looks with Nordstrom. I picked up this chenille sweater recently and it's the absolute softest and perfect for layering. I love the mock neck and, of course, neutral tone—it goes with everything! I already have my eye on the black version.
I layered up with this slouchy olive trench. It's pretty lightweight but I love that it's not bulky and you can still comfortably move around in it. It adds a classic and effortless vibe to any outfit and has a soft edginess to it. I always love the mix of edgy and feminine and it's the perfect combo with the chenille sweater. This jacket is definitely one of those pieces that will take you from season to season. Pair it with a t-shirt dress come spring or even shorts and your favorite white tee. For now, it's perfect over my favorite cozy sweaters.
We've been getting a huge storm here these past couple weeks, so I snagged a new pair of rain boots to get me through it. I can't tell you how much I LOVE these Jeffrey Campbell rain booties. The style is like a regular old bootie but they're for the rain! Woah. I love the edgy vibe they have—they honestly make any outfit just look cool, which I'm all about. And you can't beat the price—just $55. I'll be reaching for them rain or shine. Tip: Wear them with thicker socks for added comfort.
My weekend style almost always includes a hat. Typically I'm a baseball cap kinda girl but I'm swapping it out with this beanie for colder days. It's the coziest and I love the classic tan tone and two-tone pompom.
I also snagged this black bag recently—you guys know I'm all about a crossbody but love how this one from Nordstrom BP. does double duty. Such a steal at $45.
