Olive Blouse and Black Distressed Skinnies
You guys, I'm totally geeking out right now because I took blog photos with a real live professional photographer. Not to discount my mom, sister, cousin, dad, brother, brother-in-law and countless friends who have taken my blog photos, but like—woah. Once you go professional-photog-who-knows-what-they're-doing...
I am thrilled with these photos from my shoot with Baley Marie Photography. If you're in the San Francisco Bay Area (or Utah!), I highly recommend her. She's super talented and actually the sweetest and I really didn't have to do anything but stand there. Ha! My point—I felt comfortable and she knew exactly what she was doing. It's crazy (or maybe not) that it's taken me over two years to shoot with a professional, but I'm so happy with the results.
And another thing I'm happy with? My blog re-design! Again, another thing that took me over two years to do, but it's the first time I've actually been happy with the appearance and am so happy I took the plunge with By Stina Faye. Another really talented and sweet #girlboss, she totally took my inspirations and love of neutrals (oh hey, camel links) to deliver a classic and easy-to-navigate design that meets all my expectations and then some.
Moving on to the outfit. I've always been a big fan of Amour Vert not only for their style essentials but for the brand itself. They're all about sustainability and the name actually translates to Green Love—so cute and a great thing to think back to.
Their silk blouse is actually perfect. A timeless silhouette in the perfect fall hue—wear it for work, play and holiday! I love it dressed down slightly with black distressed skinnies. Leopard flats would be perfect here, but I also love the gray booties for a bit of lightness with the darker hues.
This general combo is my day-to-night go-to. Jeans + top + a cool jacket and booties tossed on for night. You could also layer it under a blazer or tuck into a pencil skirt for work. Add a sparkly statement necklace for an easy holiday ensemble.
