Simple Statement

For my first official blog post, I wanted to incorporate some of my favorite things. Denim, tees, and statement jewels. I am the epitome of a jeans girl. Don't get me wrong, I love a pretty and feminine dress, but I just love denim. The ease and wearability, the endless options of dressing up or down...jeans will always be my go-to and lately I've been particularly obsessing over distressed denim. This might sound strange, but I think there's something so chic about... jeans with holes. I love how effortless, yet sophisticated (yes, sophisticated) they are, and how they add instant interest to any look. And one of my favorite ways to style them? With a t-shirt and bling.

For this look, I'm styling my denim with a pretty cotton tee. But what makes this nude/blush tee extra special is that it has the prettiest soft pink blouse overlay, giving it a touch of romance and femininity (which I'm all about in all my looks.) It has the comfort of cotton and the polished look of a blouse, without having to worry about it being too sheer or too blousey. 

Of course I had to finish off the look with some statement gold. I love transforming a simple tee and jeans look, and this beauty by Accessory Jane definitely does the trick. I mean... gold. statement. necklace. Come on... it's a winner in my book and I can't wait to see all the ways this stunner can make a statement.
